Thank you for the article. The first paragraph in the career section is not supported by the citation. I also would like to suggest that the sentence be rewritten so that it is encyclopedic.

Olly Sanderson[edit]

You created this article, when a draft already existed (albeit in my user space). I have now merged the two. Please be more careful in future. GiantSnowman 18:01, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You've done the same with Pharrell Johnson - why? Are you just careless, or incompetent, or both? GiantSnowman 19:48, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You've done the same with Jez Davies - this just smacks of incompetence. GiantSnowman 14:55, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
At a glance, none of these even seem ready for mainspace. @LBLM9253 you need to show these players meet GNG. They should have significant coverage, it's not enough for them to just make a professional appearance and have some routine coverage in local papers and on their club website. Notice

The article Jack Taylor (footballer, born 2005) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No secondary sources, fails WP:BASIC.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Footballer notability[edit]

Hey there! I just wanted to let you know that you seem to be creating a lot of articles for footballers without checking they meet Wikipedia's notability requirements. Players should have at least two pieces of significant coverage. That means something non routine and independent of the player, league and club. In most cases, this is an article in a newspaper, magazine or online source. But it should be something more than "he appeared in this game/he transferred to this club".

I think you might be operating off the old NFOOTY guidelines, where one pro appearance gave a presumtion of notability. These guidelines are no longer in effect, so lots of your articles are being moved to draft or deleted. Thanks! MarchOfTheGreyhounds 14:53, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@North8000 as a reviewer are you sure you feel this page is ready for mainspace? There's no significant coverage present on this BLP at all, only stuff from his employer and database entries. MarchOfTheGreyhounds 14:22, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@MarchOfTheGreyhounds: First as a side note, your post presumes there is another alternative to AFD (e.g. draft space) available for further development but that is not the case. The NPP que is longer than the deadline for that. My personal views on these types of articles I think align with yours. But with my NPP hat on I go by probable result at AFD. And for sports bios, even sports bios with a lot less than this get get kept and the NPP'er gets beat up for nominating them. North8000 (talk) 14:50, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, that makes sense. I appreciate your thoughts. MarchOfTheGreyhounds 15:49, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Released players[edit]

In the English system, contracts end on 30 June (so players leave clubs on that date) and begin on 1 July (so players join new clubs on that date). Please wait until those dates before editing. GiantSnowman 17:58, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
